History is not the same as memory
Chat history helps you return to a conversation. Memory is for useful details that can support later work. Do not assume the assistant remembers every line or the complete contents of every file. Restate a critical constraint when it must govern the next answer.
Keep context deliberate
Use memory controls to review the information available to your account. Avoid storing passwords, access tokens or information about other people unnecessarily. When a preference changes, tell the assistant clearly. For unrelated projects, use separate conversations instead of assuming one long thread is always better.
